Make your own homemade BBQ sauce with easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions. Start with this recipe and change it to match your tastes and idea of what BBQ should be – spicy, sweet, smoky. Use it for Grilled BBQ Chicken Quarters, Smoked BBQ Ribs, Smoked Pulled Pork. Makes 1 cup.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Ketchup

  • ¼ cup Dark brown sugar

  • 2 Tablespoons Homemade BBQ Rub

  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 2 Tablespoons Molasses

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • ¼ cup Water, added last after other ingredients combined

Directions

  • Combine sauce ingredients, except water, in a saucepan.
  • Add water and stir.
  • Heat on the stove over medium heat for 5 minutes and then on low heat for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  • Remove from burner and let cool so flavors meld.
